One week without make-up

So, I spent a whole week with nothing but my bare face.

To admit I started this prompt because I’m lazy af. I rather sleep than putting on mascara. And the new mascara I bought is kinda crappy so…

Whatever, I did the challenge and I nailed it.

The results:

My lashes grew, got back to the point where I started putting on mascara. And just for your information, I don’t put that much on besides mascara on my face so maybe the change wasn’t that extreme but still.

The first couple of day I looked pretty fucked up. I slept very bad too, but that’s not the point, my sleeping schedule is not existent anyways.

But already on the first day I felt independent. So, like: Hey, fuckers I’m not wearing make-up. So watcha gonna do? Sue me because I’m ugly? Ha-ha, no you have to look in my tired bare-face. Ha!

I didn’t have to worry about my mascara cracking off and having because of that dark rings under my eyes. I didn’t care if my lashes were clumpy or good-looking. It was just me without make-up and it was kinda alright with me.

I went to school and paid attention in class and didn’t bother myself just one second how I was looking.

Why did I even start this challenge? Yeah, I’ve mentioned it before. I was lazy. I’m still lazy. I was tired of putting make-up every morning on to take it in the evening down.

And people, oh excuse me, women didn’t put on make-up every day. You say “What?”. Yeah, I mean in the 19th century only the really rich ladies did that. Every woman else didn’t do that. And they still got called beautiful.

So, it also pissed me off. Men don’t have to put on make-up to be attractive. But girls and women need to. As if we’re not pretty without our make-up.

I have heard of people telling young  girls to make themselves pretty for the boys. What values are you teaching those kids? The girls to be pretty to be worthy and boys treating girls like objects. No thank you.

One week without make-up brought me some nice lashes and an “I don’t care how I look, I’m tired”- attitude. Girls don’t need make-up to be beautiful. It’s just again our society that is telling girls to put on make-up. But society changes and we all can make it better or worse.
