Before I actually begin introducing you into other cultures I must say something:
A) To the English-speaking people that think it's enough to just speak English, because everyone is talking English too:
No. Stop.
Do you know how arrogant this is? Will you be always counting on that your opponent speaks English? Do you know how many people don`t speak English? Hella lot. Like in whole Asia there are few people who can translate for you, because no, not everyone speaks English. And I must say I didn't make such an effort in learning (and I'm still making) languages just for you lazy douchebags who have the opportunity but just don't want to. This makes me so angry. Yeah, English is a pretty common language but so is Spanish and Chinese (by the people that are just living in China) and Italian because Italian folks emigrated to everywhere in the world and took their language with them. (Fun fact: the biggest Italian community outside Italy is in New York)
Non. Arret.
(Now in English cuz my French sucks, you're welcome)
It's very similar to A) but it's just that French people tend to hate other languages. Even if they really would understand it they would rather die than to admit it. And it's not like english that is spoken in quite a lot of countries. French is in France, Canada, Switzerland and maybe some formers colonies. The end.
And like in Switzerland they have to learn German but later when they are adult, they really try to forget it. So when some poor students out of the German-speaking part are in the Romandy really struggle with their French, they love to just ignore them until they got their French perfect.
Well that sounded like a hate blog, but I'm really pissed so I don't care. I just totally cringe when I hear or see something like this.
I hoped you enjoyed your first #ForeignFriday and I say goodbye until next week.
